On the 4th, a reporter learned from the Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that this year, the province will continue to apply the policy of reducing or waiving inspection and quarantine fees for export agricultural products and textile and apparel goods. This measure is consistent with the one implemented in 2010, and it will be in effect throughout the entire year, from January 1st to December 31st. It has been clarified that the inspection and quarantine fees for these specific goods listed in the "Commodity Catalogue for Inspection and Quarantine by Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Authorities" will be reduced. For example, export live animals, poultry, aquatic products, and certain agricultural goods are completely exempt from inspection and quarantine charges. Other agricultural exports will have their fees reduced by 50%, while textile and clothing items will be charged at 70% of the standard rate. The exemptions cover various fees, including quality inspection fees, animal and plant health inspections, food equipment hygiene checks, weight and quantity identification, packaging usage fees, special testing costs, license issuance fees, and laboratory analysis charges. These reductions aim to support local businesses and promote trade competitiveness. According to recent data, last year alone, the inspection and quarantine authorities in Fujian saved over 15 million yuan in fees for foreign trade enterprises, benefiting around 80,000 batches of exported agricultural and textile products. This ongoing initiative reflects the government's commitment to easing the financial burden on exporters and encouraging sustainable growth in the sector.
