é—½ Continue to reduce import and export inspection and quarantine fees for agricultural textile and apparel products

On the 4th, a reporter learned from the Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that this year, the province will continue to implement a policy of reducing or exempting inspection and quarantine fees for export agricultural products and textile and apparel goods. The policy remains consistent with the one introduced in 2010, and it will be in effect throughout the entire year, from January 1st to December 31st. The reduction applies to items listed in the "Inbound and Outbound Commodity Catalogue for Inspection and Quarantine Implementation by Entry and Exit Inspection and Quarantine Institutions." Specifically, export live animals, poultry, aquatic products, and certain agricultural goods are fully exempt from entry-exit inspection and quarantine fees. For other agricultural products, the fees are halved. Meanwhile, textile and clothing exports will be charged at 70% of the standard rate. The exemptions cover a wide range of charges, including quality inspection fees, animal clinical and plant quarantine fees, food and equipment health inspections, weight and quantity identification, packaging usage fees, special inspection projects, license issuance, and laboratory testing and appraisal costs. According to recent statistics, last year alone, the inspection and quarantine authorities in the province saved over 15 million yuan in fees for local foreign trade enterprises. This supported approximately 80,000 batches of exported agricultural products and textile goods, helping to boost competitiveness in international markets. The ongoing policy is expected to provide further relief and support to businesses, especially in the current economic climate.
